About Job


The client company is seeking a marketing professional responsible for driving marketing activities for both existing and new products, in coordination with field sales and the Head Office Marketing team within the assigned zone. The role involves market mapping for new geographies and pipeline products, resolving marketing-related queries, and providing product training for field staff. The incumbent is expected to develop and implement innovative strategies for branding and sales promotion, ensuring their efficiency and effectiveness. Candidates should have 6 to 10 years of experience in the Agri-input industry, with 2 to 3 years of experience in handling field marketing initiatives. Previous experience in field sales is desirable.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Provide inputs to the Marketing Head/Zonal In-Charges for the preparation of zonal marketing plans, including existing and new products, roll-out timelines, marketing expenditure, and desired benefits.
  • Develop marketing plans for new geographies, such as target farmer groups and the roll-out of promotion initiatives.
  • Conduct potential mapping for pipeline products over three to five years, covering development, testing, launch, growth, and maturity phases.
  • Generate innovative ideas to enhance marketing and field effectiveness, including innovative branding and promotion initiatives and product training methodologies.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Track and monitor marketing expenses for the region/zone and provide inputs to the Zonal In-Charge and Head of Marketing as required, including comparing planned vs. actual spend, assessing unplanned expenditure, monitoring spend on special projects, and evaluating benefits accrued through marketing spend.

People Responsibilities:

  • Attend training sessions on identified training needs or as directed by HR.
