Job Description
As the Director – Computational Drug Discovery & Translational Innovation, you will be a pivotal scientific and strategic leader within our discovery organization. With nearly two decades of experience in in silico drug discovery, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing discovery strategies that deliver impactful, differentiated therapeutic candidates across multiple disease areas.
You will lead the design and optimization of New Chemical Entities (NCEs) and New Biological Entities (NBEs) by leveraging your deep expertise in molecular modeling, cheminformatics, and bioinformatics. Your contributions will include identifying novel, first-in-class targets through integrated analysis of scientific literature, proprietary data, and cutting-edge computational tools.
Working closely with medicinal chemistry, in vitro biology, and structural biology teams, you will drive collaboration across disciplines to address complex drug discovery challenges. You will also establish and manage external alliances—including CRO partnerships for AI-driven modeling, DNA-encoded library hits, high-throughput screening (HTS), and biophysical studies involving biosensors and co-crystal structure elucidation.
In addition, you will guide innovation in computational antibody engineering by supporting initiatives such as epitope identification, antibody humanization, and structural stability modeling—enriching our biologics pipeline. Your strategic insight will be vital in identifying high-value opportunities and translating them into tangible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead technology upscaling and platform innovation in computational drug discovery.

Provide expert guidance on toxicity risk assessments using advanced in silico models.

Support regulatory submission processes through data-driven computational reports.

Evaluate and integrate AI-based discovery platforms to improve pipeline efficiency and timelines.

Identify and propose first-in-class targets using extensive scientific literature review and internal analytics.

Drive external collaboration strategies with CROs and technology partners across HTS, biosensor technologies, and structure-based approaches.

Guide computational strategies for antibody design, including epitope mapping, humanization, and stability prediction.

Advocate for and implement emerging technologies that enhance translational potential and research impact.
