We are seeking a dynamic Cotton Business Head to spearhead our nationwide agri-business operations, with a strong emphasis on the seed sector. This pivotal role demands a strategic thinker who can seamlessly integrate cross-functional teams, drive profitability, and maintain a competitive edge in the market. As a core member of our Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will have the autonomy and responsibility to shape the future of our cotton business. Your leadership will be instrumental in motivating diverse teams across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Quality Control to achieve and surpass business objectives.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

P&L Ownership: Manage and drive the Profit & Loss for a business unit with an approximate turnover of ₹600 Crores, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to enhance market share and competitiveness in the cotton seed industry.

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform business decisions and maintain a competitive advantage.

Operational Excellence: Ensure efficient operations across all departments, aligning processes and systems to support business objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications & Experience:

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Experience: 15+ years in agri-business, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale operations and P&L responsibilities.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver results in a competitive market.

Age Criteria: 45–50 years, aligning with the expected experience level for this senior leadership position.
